Oncue Telecom is proud to be associated with the launch of the HELLEN website, an Upstanding Project by the Australian Institute of Neuro-rehabilitation. HELLEN is an acronym for Hunter’s Exoskeleton for Lower Limb Exercise and Neuro-rehabilitation. HELLEN is the first Australian owned hands-free, self-supporting robot, enabling individuals with neurological conditions to stand, walk and participate in robotic exercise therapy.
Through our networks in the Hunter, Oncue Telecom’s Managing Director, Garth Weiley, has worked with a marketing group to bring about community awareness of the exoskeleton. Whilst HELLEN has been funded with assistance from the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation and in partnership with the University of Newcastle, there is time where HELLEN is not being used for research and other funded rehabilitation. It is this groups goal to build awareness and find opportunities to fund additional therapy hours for those not in a position to pay out of pocket.
Oncue Telecom are pleased to provide the domain name registration, web hosting, content management system and design services to this project. You can view the HELLEN website here and donate to the project at the Give Now site.
